Schedule your visit today!

Are you feeling called to ignite your light? To help us with our mission? To reconnect with nature? To reconnect with yourself?

This is what House of Light Global is all about!

So what exactly can you do here??

Come as a guest!

Are you wanting to find a private forest to escape to? Would you like to take a break from society for a while? Are you on vacation and would like to squeeze in some concentrated nature time? Does your trip need a dose of eco-spirituality?

Contact us to set up a personalized visit with activities just for you! Visit our private forest and walk the trails, engage with the many rescue animals, and participate in any demos or workshops currently on offer (fleece crafts, pottery, herbal product making, guided meditations, etc.)

Have a group? Great! We love hosting classrooms and boardrooms! Contact us in advance to help you plan the best visit! Educational, spiritual, and nurturing! Participate in demos, volunteer a hand, or simply play some games in our nature setting! There’s something for every group! Contact us to discuss setting something up special!

Come as a volunteer!

With lots of opportunities to get your hands dirty, we invite you, no matter your skillset, to contribute your heart to our mission! We accept volunteers throughout the year! You may volunteer at our Washington Nature Center as a garden/farm hand, IT support, public relations/social media assistant, photographer, construction helper, and more!

Volunteering is a great way to check out what we’re all about at House of Light Global. Get a feel for the land, for the mission, and see if this is something that aligns with you. When you’re here, you’re family. Which means dinner in included on volunteer days! Don’t worry about being an expert, desire to help is the #1 requirement when volunteering. If you want to get involved, if you’re looking for a way to give back, if you support our mission, then we’d love to have you volunteer with us!

Frequently Asked Questions

How Can I "Ignite my light?"

Your light is what makes you special, your gift, your calling. By visiting or volunteering at one of our centers, you may reconnect with the things that light you up from within. A passion. A skill or talent. A life mission. A calling. This light exists in each of us, if we only have the courage to ignite it! We believe through interacting with nature and animals and by contributing to our community, our natural selves, we give our light the space it needs to effortlessly come out.

how can I help?

We accept volunteers daily, 10am-5pm. If you have skills such as gardening/farming, animal husbandry, construction, even IT know-how such as social media, we need your help! Visit our Volunteer page for more details!

What can I do on a visit?

We’re adding more things all the time, so this answer changes! Our offerings also vary throughout the year. Spring through Autumn (April-Oct) is the BEST time to visit with the most to participate in. Check out our Connect, Discover, Play, Heal pages to learn about our invitations. Contact us to schedule your visit and learn about what activities will be available!

Where can I stay?

We’re still getting the Ohana House set up for overnight guests, and working on getting potable water, so for now, guests are encouraged to find lodging nearby at one of our many hotels/motels or find a local Airbnb. In summer, we’ll be offering overnight tent-stays, so stay tuned if you’re the camping type!

Do you allow pets?

Are you making the journey with your pets? We do permit pets, provided they are on their leash at all times. Please be mindful of the location, taking into consideration the existence of large farm animals, like alpacas, as well as wild animals, like opossums and coyotes, which may spook your pet. So long as they are with you, they should be perfectly fine!

Can I bring my child/children?

Of course! There is so much a child would have fun with. From playing with fleece, to exploring our forest trails, to watching/feeding the animals, to picking from our garden and orchard, and more! We often hold craft workshops perfect for kids! Contact us to learn more and we’ll see how we can make this visit special! If you want your child to connect to nature more, this is the place!
