Animal Connection
When we observe, interact, or engage in any way with animals, we activate our spirit – that magical part of us that we recognize in other lifeforms, that intuitive part that creates, plays and trusts itself. It becomes easy to see ourselves in the eyes of a horse and hear ourselves in the song of a bird.
With over 30 rescue animals, from gentle alpacas and silly sheep, to a majestic horse and intriguing llama, there is an animal here for you. We also have dogs, cats, and chickens. Yet you’ll also be surprised by wildlife! Look up to spot eagles, hawks, ducks, geese, swallows, owls, and more! Stay still to spot rabbits, opossums, and beavers. And look down to spot frogs, newts, and snakes. They are all waiting to meet you and help you remember who you really are.
Nature Connection
Spending time in nature has profound benefits on our mind, body, emotions, and spirit. Whether guided or not, we offer 2 miles of private forest trails. Featuring a variety of elevation and plant life, the walk is far from boring. When you feel like stopping to marvel the trees or soak in the bird song, there are many hand-carved cedar benches along the paths.
Connect to your breath and your heart when you connect with the breath and heart of nature. Ground and center yourself, remember that this moment is all there is, and that you share the same spirit as all the life around you. Remember to marvel at yourself as you see yourself reflected in the majesty around you.
Soul Connection
In today’s modern world, we pride ourselves for working hard, accomplishing tasks, and making money. We have learned to value movement, and reject stillness. We have learned to value productivity and effort, and fear rest and play. This is ultimately what your soul is crying out for you to remember. And this is how we will restore it.
Through the simple act of returning to your breath, quieting your thoughts, and stilling your body, your soul has a chance to recover. With many isolated patches of nature around the property, you can simply “be” for as long as you wish. Cloud gaze, watch the frogs jump, listen to the rustle of the trees, squish your toes in the grass, and simply remember to be. For that is all life is.
Is your soul in need of restoration?
Anxiety
Anxiety causes feelings of restlessness, fatigue, difficulty focusing, irritability, excessive feelings of worry, difficulty sleeping, crippling perfectionism and loss of interest in work.
Affects 300 Million Adults Worldwide
In fact, anxiety is the most common mental disorder in the U.S., affecting a whopping 40 million adults.
With statistics like these, odds are high that many of your employees are struggling with anxiety, which is affecting not only your company’s productivity, but also your employee’s happiness and life satisfaction.
(Anxiety and Depression Association of America, 2020)
Depression
Depression can be short or long-term, but it manifests as a loss of pleasure, difficulty sleeping, low appetite and energy, and diminished self-worth.
Leading Cause of Disability
In fact, 71% of the adult US population has experienced at least one major depressive episode. If you think it doesn’t affect your company, remember that depression costs the U.S. $51 billion in absenteeism and lost productivity alone.
If your employees are struggling with depression, there is most likely a lack of internal motivation and interest, resulting in low-energy offices.
(Mental Health America, World Health Organization)
Burnout
Burnout is categorized by feelings of exhaustion, sensitivity to feedback, increased mental distance from one’s job or harboring negative feelings towards one’s career.
75% of Workers Have Exeprienced
Sadly, 40% of employees say they’ve experienced burnout specifically during the pandemic, while 67% believe burnout has worsened over the pandemic. Yet 36% of employees said their organization isn’t doing anything to help with employee burnout. Don’t be one of them.
Burnout negatively impacts job satisfaction, employee retention, customer relationships, and the overall success of a business.
(Flex Jobs, Indeed, Eagle Hill Consulting)
If you are suffering from any of these common spiritual dampeners, you’ve likely lost touch with the real you, with your soul. To restore the soul is to restore connection to it, to enliven it, and to bring it back to our daily lives.
